A painter steps back from his canvas every 10 minutes. Companies spend thousands of dollars on focus groups. Why?

If you have ever done a Myers-Briggs test, you would have had your entire personality categorised down to four letters.

Four letters! Seems a bit insignificant but we all know it is probably not going to be full reflection of your personality, we as humans are more complex than that (hopefully). However, a tests such as Myers-Briggs can really give you perspective and understand areas of yourself that you may not have known about or uncovered before. Leading to higher sense of self-awareness and ideally improvement.

Stepping outside and having an objective viewpoint is one of the best ways to develop understanding and improvement.

IT is one of those things that you can easily get enveloped in, most of the time you don’t even notice it is there (unless something goes wrong). So it is particularly hard to step outside of it, to assess if it is operating to its best ability and if there are areas of improvement that need to be seen to.

So what is your organisations IT personality?

Maybe your organisations has a clear idea of IT goals they want to achieve, but the everyday tasks of keeping those goals in line are being pushed by the wayside for other priorities and projects.

It could be that yohighlighted_NO_titlesur organisation is in the dark about what IT path you want to take and need guidance in order to find out what your organisation needs.

Potentially your organisation is awesome, knows what it wants and needs but needs an outside partner to help achieve your goals.

This survey is particularly helpful in identifying your organisations IT needs. It sums up organisations IT personalities in 4 different categories, explaining each one and shedding light on areas of improvement.

So your still wondering why a painter steps back from his canvas every 10 minutes and companies spend thousands of dollars on focus groups?
